                                ORDINANCE NO. 9816
                  
                  
                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 9795,
                   ENCAPTIONED "AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND
                   ABANDONING LONGVIEW DRIVE LOCATED SOUTHEAST
                   OF HIXSON PIKE, SOUTHWEST OF SKILLERN DRIVE,
                   MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, UPON
                   CERTAIN CONDITIONS." SO AS TO REPLACE THE
                   PLAT ATTACHED THERETO.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 WHEREAS, the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Planning
       Commission and the City Engineer approved an abandonment request
       filed by Mrs. Mary Richardson Carter, accompanied by a map which
       contained the notation "NEW LOCATION PER CITY ENGR. 8/27/92" and 
a
       legal description captioned "NEW LEGAL DESCRIPTION PER CITY
       ENGINEER 8/27/92" and forwarded said abandonment request, map and 

       legal description to the City Council for approval; and
       	    	 WHEREAS, the City Council passed Mrs. Carter's
       abandonment (#1990-098) on third and final reading on September
       22, 1992; however, an unrevised map was attached thereto; and
       	    	 WHEREAS, it was the City Council's intention to adopt
       the abandonment shown by the above-referenced map;
       	    	 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
       THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That:

       	    	 SECTION 1.  Ordinance No. 9795, encaptioned hereinabove
       and which was passed on third and final reading on September 22,
       1992, be and the same is hereby amended so as to replace the plat 

       which was attached thereto with the correct plat which is being
       attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
       	    	 SECTION 2.  This Ordinance shall be effective two (2)
       weeks from and after its passage as provided by law.
